Hey, I recognize that big six pointer! That bad boy scored 135 as a six pointer.
I have hunted this property the last two years and dearly love it.. I did pass numerous smaller bucks waiting on this one
or a few other big ones that we saw.
There was at least two B & C pusher ten pointers and some 140 - 150 eights running the property that we just couldn't get quite close enough to. I've got trail camera pictures of a couple other big sixes that should be as big this year as the one I killed .

A unique thing about this property is the number of piebalds running the area. It was not uncommon to see 1 out of 4 deer being piebald.
Two does were almost pure white. They had just enough dark hair on them to make them Illinois legal. This one has a dark mane.

This one appears to have a brown face.

I made the mistake of passing one of the white does on opening firearm weekend as another hunter had said that he had seen a huge buck following her a few evenings before. I held out and waited for him and he never showed. She might have been out of estrous by then. About 15 minutes later the big 6 showed up coming from the opposite direction.
Here is a very nice ten..

As far as I know none one of the white does, any of the piebalds or the big sixes and the ten were killed this last season.
It is a great place to hunt and I am looking forward to it again this year!
